Operation Presnell Plantation
Our invited guest will get an outdoor education that is second to none and will experience nature while participating in a full range of activities and programs that are unparalleled. We have special transport vehicles, stands, blinds, and adaptive equipment for those who have accessibility requirements.
Prior to experiencing any shooting or hunting activity our guest are required to participate in an educational and safety program to learn about gun safety, gun cleaning and care, ear and eye protection, hunter safety, and situation awareness.
Upland Game
Presnell Plantation has some of the finest wing shooting available in the rolling hills of southern Indiana. Guest will experience a breathtaking hunt and if needed in a state of the art custom off road wheelchair attachment that puts a disabled hunter in front to fully view the flush and enjoy dogs handled by professional guides. Our goal for our guest is to gain an understanding of the roles of a guide and the importance of properly trained dogs and their health care as well as the benefits of ground cover and its impact on erosion control, runoff filterization, and wildlife habitat.
Waterfowl
Waterfowl hunting at Presnell Plantation is done through strategically placed accessible blinds throughout the 10 lakes of the property as well as custom watercraft to accommodate our disabled hunters. We converted marginal low areas by building two new wetland lakes as well as created a master wetlands planting plan to enhance the food and cover component of lake hunting on all our lakes. Our goal for our guest is to gain and understanding of the environmental and wildlife benefits of wetlands and wetland plants as well as the various species of waterfowl native to different parts of the country and their migration.
Guidelines

Fishing

Presnell Plantations fully stocked lakes offer, large mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Besides our custom mini bass boats we have a wheel chair accessible dock and adaptive watercraft for those who like to leave the bank. The design of each lake was determined by its geographic location and the topographic elevations. Additionally each lake has a different custom overflow trash rack system for keeping the overflow pipe from debris causing the lake to overflow and damage the dam. Water quality, vegetation, and monitored harvest are mandatory in maintaining a healthy lake and fish population and essential in implementing an aquaculture program. This requires annual testing to determine what management actions need to be implemented. Our goal for our guest is to gain an understanding of the importance of the geographic location, topography, structure design, vegetation, harvest, and water quality.
