Welcome to Presnell Plantation, a 501C3 not-for-profit organization whose God given mission is to offer a venue where youth, the disabled, the terminally ill, our veterans, and organizations can come, learn, and experience nature while enjoying a full range of outdoor activities and programs created to emphasize learning, sharing, wellness, and exploring in a context that has been carefully planned for safety and enjoyment.
The Plantation is a carefully crafted southern style working livestock ranch, row crop farm, outdoor sporting and educational retreat, nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. Exhibiting the Presnell trademark, the Plantation’s meticulously designed grounds, which include fully stocked lakes, native prairie grasses and wildflowers, wildlife food plots, tree plantings, wooded countryside, and master drainage plans provide unforgettable and outdoor experiences. We offer a full range of recreational activities that includes hunting, fishing, sporting clays, 3D archery, hiking, camping, rehabilitative programs, and equestrian and livestock demonstrations.
The Plantation regularly hosts non-profit organizations and other groups for their outings, events, seminars, camps, tournaments, fund-raisers, and essentially anything connected to outdoor recreation or agriculture. The grounds and facilities are uniquely designed to foster team building and similar, positive objectives in an outdoor setting.
However, all of the incredible scenery, wildlife, facilities, and activities would be for not if we did not do everything we can to educate our guest about the environment, wildlife, and the delicate balance between man and nature in order to foster a better appreciation of the land we live in. Many of our guests have stated that their visit here was like being in an “outdoor institute”. We took those comments to heart and decided to establish a learning facility dedicated to the outdoors and agricultural industries. In the near future, you will be becoming more familiar with the Presnell Institute “Where the textbook meets the real world”. We are very excited about the future.
